Juan Toscano-Anderson, first reinforcement of the Lakers

The Mexican Juan Toscano-Andersonrecently proclaimed NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers according to the network ESPN.

Toscano-Anderson, the first Mexican capable of winning the NBA championship ring, was free to reach an agreement with any team after the Warriors did not exercise the option to extend his contract.

The Lakers of LeBron James and Anthony Davis bet on him as soon as it opened, this Thursday at 18:00 ET (-4 GMT), the NBA’s free agency.

This was Toscano-Anderson’s third season in the NBA and it has been very special for him not only because of the championship he won with Stephen Curry and company but also because he participated in the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest.

In the playoffs, he had less room in Golden State’s rotation and averaged 0.8 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 3.5 minutes per game.

Before landing in the NBA under Steve Kerr, Toscano-Anderson played in the basketball leagues of Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina.
